Terms of sale
Last updated 21 June 2026. These terms govern your purchase from themysteryshirt.com, operated by Wandarbear (3604 BD Maarssen (Utrecht), The Netherlands).
1. What you're buying
A made-to-order t-shirt. You provide a short text prompt; an AI image generator creates a one-of-a-kind design from it, which is printed on a shirt and shipped to you. You pay before the design is created, and neither you nor we preview the printed design before it ships. The surprise is the nature of the product.
2. You must be 18 or older
By ordering you confirm you are at least 18 years old.
3. Your prompt — rights and responsibilities
- You warrant that you own or have the rights to the words in your prompt and that they do not infringe anyone's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.
- You agree to indemnify and hold Wandarbear harmless from any third-party claim arising from the content of your prompt.
4. Acceptable use — what you may not request
You must not submit a prompt that asks for, or is intended to produce, any of the following:
- Third-party brands, logos, trademarks, copyrighted characters, or other protected works.
- Real or identifiable people (including celebrities and public figures) without their rights.
- Hateful, harassing, extremist, or discriminatory content.
- Sexual content, content involving minors, graphic violence, or self-harm.
- Counterfeit, deceptive, or otherwise unlawful content.
We screen every prompt automatically (see below) and may decline any prompt at our discretion. Repeated abuse may result in refused service.
5. Content moderation
Every prompt is automatically screened before payment and again by the image generator. We may decline any prompt at our discretion. If a prompt is declined before payment, you are not charged. In the rare case a design cannot be produced after payment, your order is cancelled and fully refunded automatically.
6. Price, tax and discounts
- Prices are shown in your local currency. EU prices include VAT; US and Canadian prices show tax added at checkout where we are registered to collect it.
- Any advertised discount (e.g. the launch code) is applied to the genuine reference price (€29.95 (EU) / $32.95 (US) / $42.95 (CA)); we do not inflate prices before discounting.
7. Made to order — all sales final
Because each shirt is custom-made to your specification, it cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once production has begun, except where it arrives faulty, damaged, or materially different from what was ordered. This does not affect your statutory rights for defective goods. See our Withdrawal & returns page.
8. Shipping
We ship to the regions listed at checkout. Because each shirt is made to order, we aim to produce and dispatch within ~3–5 business days, with delivery typically ~1–2 weeks from order depending on your location. Orders are fulfilled from the print facility nearest your destination to reduce delivery time and avoid customs charges where possible. These are estimates, not guarantees; in any case we deliver without undue delay and no later than 30 days. If we cannot fulfil your order, it is refunded.
9. Intellectual property of the design
The design is generated for your personal use. Usage rights in AI-generated images follow our image provider's terms, which permit commercial use of outputs; copyright status of AI-generated images may be limited by law.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute arising from your order are governed by the laws of the Netherlands and applicable European Union law, and are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Dutch courts. Nothing here deprives you of the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence (and, for US and Canadian customers, applicable local consumer law).
